VK, aged about 25, was admitted to Chittadhama in November 2022. He was deeply restless, disoriented, and living in a world of confusion. It took gentle coaxing and immense patience just to bring him into our care.
Once treatment began, a remarkable shift took place. Within just three weeks, VK settled down beautifully, began actively participating in our rehabilitation programmes, and successfully recalled his home in West Bengal.
His journey had been incredibly difficult. Two years prior, during a trip from Bangladesh to visit his uncle in India, VK went missing. He wandered lost for over a year before finding safety and shelter with us.
Partnering with the Shraddha Charitable Trust, we traced his family. On New Year's Day 2024, VK was officially reunited with his mother, siblings and extended family. The reunion also brought an incredibly emotional phone call with his father back in Bangladesh. Today, VK is finally home, backed by a strong, loving family committed to his ongoing recovery.
